Drake’s new album, Scorpion, has clarified quite a few things. For one the rapper has confessed he does indeed have a secret son with former adult actress, Sophie Brussaux. Moreover, he even spoke about his forever-rumored relationship with Bella Hadid – even hinting that he is not over her!
The 31-year-old rapper released his album on Friday, June 29, and all seven tracks that came out seemed to be rather personal. In two of the songs, he revealed the truth about a son he has with Sophie Brussaux. Meanwhile, another song seems to be entirely about her fling with the 21-year-old supermodel. In Finesse, he seems to be talking about someone from the New York Fashion Week as he contemplates heading off to NYC to see this special person.
He raps, “Should I do New York? I can’t decide. Fashion week is more your thing than mine.”
There is no denying that Bella Hadid is a NYFW staple. What’s more interesting, however, that Drake has hinted that Bella wasn’t a mere fling but was someone he truly cared about. “I can’t even lie, I’d rather stay inside… Can’t be in a room with you and stand on different sides,” he raps.
“You stay on my mind all the time… I would make time for you,” he further sings, making fans think he really isn’t over Bella Hadid and their short-lived romance.
“You and your sister, too hot to handle,” he then adds in the same song, seemingly alluding to Bella and her sister, Gigi Hadid. In fact, the rapper didn’t even leave the models’ father out of it! In another song, Sandra’s Rose, he mentions Mohamed Hadid, singing, “My house is full of supermodels just like Mohamed Hadid.”
Earlier, in October 2017, Yolanda Hadid had spilled the beans about her daughter and Drake’s fling. She was in an interview with Andy Cohen where she was asked about the relationship between the two. While she verbally denied it, she let her gestures do the talking.
When Andy mentioned the birthday party Drake threw Bella Hadid, she played it cool and said, “He did? Really?” Andy Cohen didn’t let it slide and fired back with, “Yes, you were there,” in response to which, she said, “I mean they’re friends.”

Whether or not Drake is over Bella, it seems there isn’t anything going on now. Bella was recently spotted with her ex-boyfriend, The Weeknd, while the two were passionately kissing at Coachella. They were then seen rekindling their romance while having dinner in Paris. They have also been posting sneaky photos of one another, like The Weeknd posting an Instagram story with Bella’s hands in it, and fans have since been rooting for the two and waiting for an official reunion.
Meanwhile, Drake has a lot on his plate too. With his recent album release, he has confessed to having a secret son with Sophie Brussaux, while also confirming that she is not his lover and that they only met twice.
The lyrics of Emotionless, a song from the new album, have made things crystal clear. Drake mentions his son twice in the same song. He raps, “I wasn’t hiding my kid from the world, I was hiding the world from my kid.” In another song from the same album, March 14, Drake mentions his baby again, saying, “The kid is mine… Just trying to make sure I see him sometimes…”
Fans are still waiting for Drake to officially confirm these speculations, though he hasn’t left much to imagination. Meanwhile, listen to his album here.
